It looks like a lot of us will be working or studying from home for a bit and I thought that some DIY desk designs might be helpful. These are easier and faster than our typical projects and only require 2 basic power tools: a circular saw and a cordless drill. A random orbit sander is helpful and we used one but it isn't essential. The first 2 DIY desks are really simple but have different looks. We started with a mid-century modern desk out of plywood and raw steel. We then added color to the next on with Varathane wood stain in "Rose." The third desk is more of an arts and crafts table for two with an optional center divider and storage for art supplies.

The heights the desks can be changed by ordering hairpin legs with different lengths. Here is a handy chart that will make that easier:



This DIY Plywood desk can be made from two sheets of ¾” plywood and three 2x4s. Then I used a circular saw, cordless drill, orbital sander, and a jigsaw to build this desk. I used 3-1/8” and 2” long finish screws to fasten the pieces together.
