MINI x HomeMade Modern

A new partnership and a new journey!

I am partnering with MINI to help launch the first all-electric MINI. My friends over at MINI are sending me on a journey all over the world to help promote the launch and I already completed the first leg of the trip for the world premiere of the first all-electric MINI in Rotterdam. You can see some highlights of the trip in the travel blog portion of one of my recent YouTube videos:

Mobility and clean technology are key interests of mine and I am so excited for the project! Not only does the car run on electricity it has some really cool sharing technology built in so that multiple people can benefit from single vehicle. I love that they are thinking beyond traditional notions cars and instead thinking about how to create clean technology that improves quality of life.

Stay tuned to my Instagram because I will be posting more about this journey and follow the #ChargedWithPassion so you can meet all the inspiring people that I am collaborating with. Here are some of my favorite design features:

Branding:
I love that they kept the classic MINI logo but added a single graphic electric icon to differentiate!

Asymmetry:
If you have been following me for a while you know I get bored with symmetry. I love the design of the rims. Not only do these wheels look cool and futuristic they also have improved aerodynamics.

Classic MINI Proportions:
The Uyeda family has a long history with MINI. My dad drove a MINI, I have driven MINI and we even had a cat named MINI. Throughout time we have appreciated the cute and sporty proportions and the zippy high- performance fun of driving them. The first all-electric MINI keeps all the good stuff from the classic design and adds a clean energy twist! #advertisement #MINIElectric #MINI @mini #Emobility

Disclaimer:

MINI Cooper SE*: Energy consumption in kWh/100 km combined: 16.8-14.8, Fuel consumption in l/100 km combined: 0, CO2 emissions in g/km combined: 0. The driving range depends on a variety of factors, especially: personal driving behaviour, selected route, weather conditions, usage of heating/cooling and preconditioning. *These figures are preliminary values and have not yet been confirmed. Subject to change. The values of fuel consumptions, CO2 emissions and energy consumptions shown were determined according to the European Regulation (EC) 715/2007 in the version applicable at the time of type approval. The figures refer to a vehicle with basic configuration in Germany and the range shown considers optional equipment and the different size of wheels and tires available on the selected model. The values of the vehicles are already based on the new WLTP regulation and are translated back into NEDC-equivalent values in order to ensure the comparison between the vehicles. [With respect to these vehicles, for vehicle related taxes or other duties based (at least inter alia) on CO2-emissions the CO2 values may differ to the values stated here.] The CO2 efficiency specifications are determined according to Directive 1999/94/EC and the European Regulation in its current version applicable. The values shown are based on the fuel consumption, CO2 values and energy consumptions according to the NEDC cycle for the classification. For further information about the official fuel consumption and the specific CO2 emission of new passenger cars can be taken out of the „handbook of fuel consumption, the CO2 emission and power consumption of new passenger cars“, which is available at all selling points and at https://www.dat.de/angebote/ verlagsprodukte/leitfaden-kraftstoffverbrauch.html.
